Queen Victoria Ship Board Inspection

Lisa & Chris had a chance to visit Cunard's Queen Victoria on January 30th at the San Pedro Pier. The Queen Victoria enjoys many Cunard fleet exclusives and some innovations of her own:

Queen Victoria joined the Cunard fleet in December 2007.  She is a true Cunarder, proudly upholding our famous heritage and traditions.  With luxurious marbles, woods, plush carpets, rich fabrics and soft furnishings, this ship simply exudes elegance.  Queen Victoria’s many diversions and distractions ensure you are as thoroughly entertained and entirely relaxed as you could wish to be.

Reminiscent of a grand West End theatre, the 800-seat Royal Court Theatre is classically elegant in style and features a cruising first – private viewing boxes on the upper level, with a dedicated lounge area where guests can enjoy a drink before the show.

  • Cunard aficionados will be able to wile away the hours viewing the unique collection of Cunard memorabilia and artifacts in a floating museum display called “Cunardia” whilst adding to their Cunard home collections by visiting the adjacent Cunardia shop.

  • The famous Cunard Grill experience is taken to new heights with alfresco Grill dining in The Courtyard Terrace and exclusive access for Grills guests to their own Upper Terrace Deck, with dedicated staff in attendance, as well as to their Grills Lounge and Bar.

  • A grand conservatory, complete with a central fountain and greenery, retractable glass roof, moveable glass wall to the open swimming pool, luxurious rattan furniture and ceiling fans, reminiscent of our colonial past

  • A 270 degree lounge called Hemispheres – the ideal venue for classes, lectures or simply relaxing by day before transforming into a stunning nightclub by night.

  • A two-story wood-panelled library connected by a spiral staircase, with nearly 6000 books and two full-time librarians. In addition, Queen Victoria enjoys the general hallmarks of the Cunard experience:

  • Magnificent double height Queen’s Room Ballroom with 1000 sq ft inlaid wooden dance floor, cantilevered balconies, crystal chandeliers and richly decorated walls

  • Triple height Grand Lobby, in light mahogany and marbles, with a spectacular double height artwork as a backdrop to its sweeping staircase.

  • Classic double height Britannia Restaurant, with decorative columns and arches, and a spectacular centerpiece of bronze and glass

  • 127 deluxe Queens and Princess Grill suites from 335 to 2,131 square feet.• Traditional Red Lion Pub, Commodore Club observation lounge, and Chart Room bar.

  • Distinctive elegance and luxury throughout, combined with an impressive sense of volume and height

  • Luxurious White Star Service TM throughout
